Umbrella Alley is back with a brand-new home in Fisherman’s Wharf! Located at 366 Jefferson Street, San Francisco, the newly reopened Umbrella Alley 2.0 already features seven vibrant murals by Bay Area artists, including California Dreaming, See the World, and I Left My Heart in San Francisco. More murals are in progress, with exciting new additions coming through 2026, such as the San Francisco Homies, Greetings from San Francisco, and Fisherman’s Wharf Honey Bear murals. Visitors can explore, snap photos, and watch the Alley evolve as artists continue to paint and build this one-of-a-kind creative space. The famous overhead umbrellas and balloons will return in late Summer 2026, bringing back the dreamlike color that made Umbrella Alley a city favorite. Check website for days and hours. Umbrella Alley is powered by artists, volunteers, and the support of visitors who keep San Francisco’s street art scene thriving!

There’s good news for art lovers, photographers, and anyone who just loves a splash of color — Umbrella Alley is back! After closing its original home, this beloved San Francisco art destination has officially reopened in a brand-new location at 366 Jefferson Street in Fisherman’s Wharf.

Since it first opened in 2019, Umbrella Alley has captured hearts (and countless selfies) as one of San Francisco’s most joyful and Instagram-worthy attractions. It’s a place where street art meets storytelling, where visitors and locals mingle with murals, and where creativity bursts from every wall. Now, the Alley is starting its next chapter — Umbrella Alley 2.0 — and it’s shaping up to be even more colorful, playful, and community-driven than ever.

The beloved overhead installations will return in Summer of 2026. Once again, visitors will be able to stroll beneath a canopy of floating umbrellas and balloons that have become a symbol of hope and creativity in the city.

For now, the focus is on murals, installations, and rebuilding the community energy that made the original Umbrella Alley such a success. The project is a true collaboration between artists, volunteers, and fans who have supported the Alley since day one.
